I had all these names picked out if my baby was a girl. I walked through the graveyard and saw them on tombstones. Lovely names filled with stories the minute they came off your tongue, names like Georgia, Rose, Eliza, Juliette, and Isabel.

So when Gabriel came along, as much boy as boy could be, I didn’t rightly know what to call him. Oh, how mama laughed at me and the way I didn’t give him a name!

“Only took Jesus three days to rise up outa that tomb,” she teased. In the end, it seems the perfect name came through right about the time He would have risen.
